WHO WE ARE

Our Story

We are Nepali speaking Christian of Bhutanese Origin. In late 80s, we were forced to leave the country due to language, cultural and religious differences. Some of us were exiled for following Jesus. So, we came to Nepal where we spent almost two decades in refugee Camps. Many of us received Christ as our personal saviour and the Lord while living a life of crisis. Gradually, we grew bigger and stronger and planted the churches in the refugee camps through prayers and evangelism. We prayed for the repatriation for years, but God had different plan for us (Isaiah 58:8-9). God opened the door of some of the greatest nations of this world including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, The UK, Netherland, Denmark, Norway for Bhutanese people. So, since early 2007, more than hundred thousand Nepali speaking Bhutanese people are resettled in these countries. In Canada alone, there are more than nine thousand Bhutanese resettled from coast to coast. God has been faithful to our people and the churches are growing.

Nepali speaking churches in Canada started to sprout as early as 2009 from coast to coast following the resettlement of Nepali speaking Bhutanese refugees. We genuinely believe that we are here in His plan and purpose. The churches are growing, there are around 15 churches in the province of Ontario, Quebec and Alberta. So, we felt the need of working together in unity and love to reach the unsaved more efficiently and effectively as a result we prayed and formed BNCAC in 2016. BNCAC focuses on Gospel, Discipleship and Worship. If you want to know more about Bhutanese Refugees, visit http://bhutaneserefugees.com/
